If it’s one thing this year has done, it’s made us all realize what is most important to us. It was my last wedding of 2020 and it was so special! Their strong family bonds, their kindness and thoughtfulness – it was so meaningful and intimate. Payton and Kevin really embodied what I always like to say to plan a marriage more beautiful than your wedding. The day started on the farm at the beautiful Garden Valley Gatherings where everyone got ready and Payton and Kevin prepared for their first look. I love that they had letters written to each other, that they read back to back before seeing each other! Soon after, the wedding party made their way out to the back field to join us for photos. I’m a sucker for open fields and winding 2-tracks!
One of the cool things about this venue is their woodland ceremony site tucked in the pines. It was so cozy and they had blankets for their guests too! There weren’t many dry eyes as Payton and her dad made their way down the aisle. Her dad later said he doesn’t feel like he’s “giving Payton away”, but rather he’s gaining a new member to his family. What a great way to be welcomed to the family. Congratulations, Payton and Kevin!!
