It was absolutely freezing on that mid-February day on the lakeshore, but it was SO worth it. Mary picked out a gorgeous red dress to compliment the red lighthouse on the Grand Haven pier. The same lighthouse Joey looks at every day while he works as a Coast Guardsman. The weather for this session was very typical of Michigan. When I first arrived to their house on the Bayou, it was dark and rainy. But as soon as we pulled up to the lakehouse the clouds literally parted and we took advantage of the sunshine. I hope Mary and Joey continue their good weather luck on their wedding day in late September!
