“The two of you are a family now. You don’t need a mortgage, you don’t need children. Just the two of you make a family.” The wise words spoken from Lauren’s dad couldn’t be more true. I met Lauren two years ago when she was the maid of honor in Erika and Keegan’s wedding I photographed. I was so excited when she reached out to me because I knew Lauren and Colton’s wedding would be all about family connection, love and genuine happiness.
The entire day was spent at the District 5 Schoolhouse in the little town of Zeeland (or if you’re getting technical, the tiny town of Borculo). Their first look was full of every emotion and they read their personal vows together. Lauren’s bridesmaids wore the prettiest shades of blue complimented by their white and green bouquets. After the sweet ceremony, guests headed over into the next room. It was reminiscent of a dinner party with your closest friends. They had their food catered in from a local family favorite, Salt of the Earth. Shortly after, guests enjoyed the wedding cakes made by Lauren herself! There was tons of dancing and their guests always had smiles on their faces. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite images from their wedding day. Congratulations Lauren and Colton!
