Megan and Josh are the people you strive to be like – happy, caring, full of life, adventurous. The list could go on and on. And I’m so lucky to call these two my friends. I knew from the moment they asked me to photograph their wedding day that it was going to be a beautiful day, not because of the endless amounts of greenery, backyard setting and vows under a tree, but because of who they are and who they surround themselves with. The sun was supposed to be rain and although the sky did let out a few drops of rain just before the start of the ceremony, it was just meant to be. They said their “i do’s” under a single walnut tree in the middle of a field behind Josh’s family farm where everyone watched as this beautiful girl walked towards the man God had waiting for her. 50+ years from now, I know they’ll visit that tree and remember this day like it was yesterday.
